Conduct on SMCISD Property

  • SMCISD Upholds a Zero Tolerance Policy For All Forms of Aggression 

    San Marcos CISD strives, in partnership with parents and the community, strives to provide quality education for all students, in a safe and supportive environment. Behavior which is disruptive to the core commitments of the district and/or social-emotional well being of our students and staff will not be tolerated.

    Examples of Distruptive Behavior Include:

    • Abusive Language
    • Verbal Harassment
    • Threats
    • Yelling
    • Disorderly Conduct
    • Physical Aggression (or threats of)
    • Refusal to Leave a Facility
    • Intoxication
    • Unauthorized Entry

    Failure to respond to staff requests to stop aggressive behaviors will result in removal from SMCISD facilities by security personnel or law enforcement. Further escalation may result in up to a two year ban from SMCISD facilities per Texas Education Code §37.105

    Please be advised that a person who has been denied entry or ejected from school premises may face criminal charges if that person remains on or in, or returns to, San Marcos CISD property. Appeals regarding the refusal of entry or ejection from District property may be filled in accordance with San Marcos CISD Board Policies (GKA (LOCAL) — Community Relations: Conduct on School Premises).
