• The San Marcos CISD Student Health Advisory Committee as established the following Hot Weather Guidelines:

    If temperatures reach 100°F and/or a heat index of 110°F:

    • Students will be allowed outside for a maximum of one hour.

    If temperatures reache 105°F and/or a heat index of 115°F:

    • Recess/physical education will be limited to 45 minutes of exposure with a five-minute water break every 15 minutes.

    If temperatures reach 110ºF, or a heat index of 120ºF:

    • There is no outside activity.
