A teacher can receive additional compensation in the amounts of $3,000-$32,000 per year while continuing to teach in the classroom. The TIA designation system is calculated based on the weighted combination of the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) teacher appraisal system and student growth outcomes. Based on the final TIA score, teachers can earn a TIA designation of Master, Exemplary, or Recognized.
