My name is Jessica Berry, and I am beyond excited to be serving as Assistant Principal at Miller Middle School. I am a local San Marcos native and a proud product of SMCISD schools. After graduating from SMHS, I joined the United States Air Force and was able to travel the world and gain experiences that have shaped me as an individual and as a leader. During my time abroad, I became a first-generation college graduate, earning my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and my Master’s degree in Elementary Education.  This is my 11th year in education. In my eleven years, I have 6 years of experience in the classroom as an elementary teacher, having served overseas in Okinawa, Japan, in San Antonio for NISD, and San Marcos at Rodriguez Elementary. Additionally, I served 3 years as a Campus Instructional Specialist (Instructional Coach) for SMCISD, and this will be my second year as an administrator at Miller Middle School.

I am lucky to have two incredible daughters. My oldest daughter is an SMHS graduate apprenticing to become a tattoo artist, and my youngest daughter is a freshman at San Marcos High School. As a family, we enjoy Renaissance Faires, traveling, thrifting, farmer’s markets, and Comic Cons. 

I vow to work with all stakeholders to consistently do what is best for the well-being, growth, and achievement of our students. I look forward to maintaining consistent communication with parents and guardians to ensure we work together for the betterment of our students. I look forward to a successful school year at Miller Middle School, and CAN NOT WAIT to watch our students grow!
