Welcome to Mendez Elementary!  

My name is Morgane Rodiek and I am your school counselor.  I'm so excited about the 2020-2021 school year and all the opportunities it will create for our students, staff and community.  While this year will look different than it has before it will allow us to find creative solutions and become more resilient.  My plan this year is to develop and facilitate a comprehensive school counseling program that supports our learning community both virtually and in person when that becomes appropriate.  

Prior to joining the Mendez Mighty Strikers I was the Social Emotional Counselor at Miller Middle School here in San Marcos.  The 2020-2021 school year marks my 12th year in education.  In my time in education I have filled rolls from Kindergarten teacher to 6th grade teacher, campus compliance coordinator and school counselor.  My various experiences have prepared me for my new opportunity here at Mendez.
